Support the Sales Engineer, ELV Implementation Engineer, and Project Team by providing design and production of drawings, as well as overseeing the delivery of Active and Passive IT, Telecom, ELV infrastructure and systems.
• Provide guidance to clients regarding best practices for the design and deployment of these systems. Communicate with the Ministry of Interior for various approval processes and follow-ups.
• Design and oversee the approval process for Active and Passive IT, Telecom, ELV, Security Fire Alarm, Queue Management, CCTV, Access Control, and Clinical IT infrastructure and systems.
• Design Active and Passive IT infrastructure, telecommunication services, fire alarm and voice evacuation systems, earthing/bonding, low current and extra-low voltage services, automatic controls (BMS, SCADA), and related electrical utility systems.
• Prepare IT design calculations, UPS power calculations, network storage calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for design projects.
• Participate in design progress and coordination meetings for ongoing projects.
• Liaise with local authority departments to obtain approvals at all stages of design development.
• Coordinate with other discipline engineers (Sales Engineer, Installation Site Engineer, Supervisor, Project Management Team, Network Engineer) to ensure continuity of design projects.
• Conduct design reviews for Active and Passive IT, Telecom, ELV, Security Fire Alarm, Queue Management, CCTV, Access Control, and Clinical IT systems.
• Attend design review meetings and workshops as needed.
• Prepare meeting records, design review documentation, and design progress reports.
• Ensure integration of converged backbone and IP telephony, as well as the latest developments in the field of design.
• Liaise with local suppliers and contractors to ensure adherence to client standards and scope of work requirements.
• Communicate with various vendors to provide necessary Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and costing for required materials; collaborate with vendor technical teams for solutions based on the proposed BOQ.
• Validate and check design drawings for IT/Communications Systems and Security during planning and construction phases.
• Provide guidance and advice to draftsmen on producing design drawings.
• Supervise and confirm QA/QC procedures; offer additional support as needed.
• Arrange all technical submittals and prequalification's for tenders and submissions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and deal registration.
• Prioritize cost efficiency in project design, minimizing labor and material requirements while ensuring optimal resource utilization.
