Responsibilities
• Design and optimize on-premise ClickHouse and PostgreSQL databases
• Architect real-time data pipelines in a high-performance computing (HPC) environment
• Implement partitioning, sharding, replication, and high availability strategies
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and query optimization
• Establish backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams; document standards
• Uphold security, compliance, and data governance best practices
• Mentor as the team scales and support knowledge sharing
Requirements
• 8+ years as a DBA
• Expert in ClickHouse and PostgreSQL
• Real-time data engineering
• On-premise database operations
• HPC exposure
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• Replication, partitioning, high availability
• Backup/restore and DR practices
• Strong SQL and schema design
Preferred Qualifications
• Security/Defence industry experience
• Team leadership or mentorship
• Large-scale distributed systems
• Observability and monitoring tooling
