Job Responsibilities:
• Address and resolve database incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
• Monitor events, handle alerts, and manage database outages to restore services quickly.
• Process service requests for database changes and enhancements.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring database issues.
• Support the implementation of standard and custom database builds.
• Provide operational support for HANA and MS-SQL databases.
• Ensure adherence to backup and recovery processes.
• Optimize database performance and manage alert monitoring.
• Decommission systems/servers following proper protocols as needed.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• Strong experience with Oracle or SQL DBA and MS-SQL databases.
• 2 - 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on Oracle or SQL DBA .
• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Engineering or any related field.
• Proficiency in RDBMS management and administration.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and decommissioning processes.
• Experience in incident management and database performance optimization in a 24x7 environment.
• Experience managing database outages and coordinating effective recovery.
• Familiarity with alert monitoring and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a 24x7 support environment.
• Effective communication skills for incident and service request management.
• Prior experience in 24x7 operational support.
