A leading global investment bank is seeking a Data Scientist for their Private Wealth Management Business Analytics team. This individual will play a pivotal role in harnessing advanced analytics to generate deep business insights, drive revenue, and enhance operational controls.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analytics/data science within financial services, strong stakeholder communication skills, and proven ability to transform data into actionable strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage Big Data, ML, and AI to generate deep insights for fraud analytics—including early risk indicators and AML detection—as well as for marketing and revenue generation initiatives.Develop and execute a PWM Business Analytics strategy.Proactively identify stakeholder needs and propose data-driven solutions.Rapidly innovate by building proof-of-concept prototypes to demonstrate value before scaling them into production-ready tools for decision-making.Establish a scalable data visualization and BI reporting framework to support the business's expanding footprint and evolving data-centric needs.Partner with the data management team on the development of a cloud-based data repository.
Role Requirements:
5 years of experience building data analytics models in financial services, preferably within Private Wealth Management.Proven ability to independently derive insights to drive business strategy.Hands-on experience in data analytics, and some exposure to data engineering.Expertise in data visualization tools, especially Power BI.Strong ability to query and manipulate large, complex datasets (structured and unstructured).Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for articulating clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders.Proficiency in SQL, ML, Python, and strong knowledge of models including NLP, Transformers, LSTM, K-Means, Random/Isolation Forest, and Gradient Boosting preferredExperience with cloud-based technologies is preferred, particularly Snowflake.
