We’re seeking a Machine Learning Lead who blends backend engineering expertise with advanced machine learning skills to shape the future of one of Hong Kong’s largest banks.
Key Responsibilities
• Create Impact: Build ML-powered systems that transform banking operations at scale.
• Architect & Deploy: Design and deliver secure, high-performance solutions on GCP, with exposure to AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud as a plus.
• Bridge the Gap: Translate complex business needs into robust technical designs through close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead & Inspire: Mentor an agile team, set engineering standards, and champion best practices in ML and backend development.
Requirements
• 6–8 years of experience in Machine Learning and backend software engineering , with strong hands-on skills in Python, APIs, and modern backend frameworks
• Language Model Expertise (Preferred) : Experience building, fine-tuning, or deploying LLMs for production use. Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, LangGraph, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenAI APIs .
• Proven track record in cloud deployment on GCP , with large-scale financial project experience (highly preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in agile environments, with exceptional communication skills to influence and align stakeholders.
• Fluent in Cantonese & English for seamless collaboration across teams and regions.
