Our client is seeking a mathematically rigorous Data Scientist to drive the intelligence behind their Global Agentic AI Program. This role is for a strategist who prioritises algorithmic depth and business impact. You will analyse store-level, product-level, and supplier data to prove business hypotheses and design the logic that guides our autonomous agents' decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deploy high-impact models for performance diagnosis, customer segmentation, demand forecasting, and uplift/impact measurement.
• Continuously optimise model performance, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for maintaining data quality, managing model drift, and establishing rigorous retraining/refresh cadences.
• Partner with the LLM team to define the decision boundaries and reward functions for autonomous agents.
• Use statistical data to analyse business cases, ensuring every AI deployment has a clear, proven viability path.
• Lead A/B testing and multivariate testing for AI-driven retail features to ensure continuous improvement in customer engagement and conversion.
• Act as a bridge between technical execution and business needs. Validate assumptions, interpret complex results for non-technical audiences, and ensure AI outputs match real-world decision workflows.
• Demonstrate a deep mathematical understanding of models to ensure stability and explainability to non-technical business stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Data Science or Advanced Analytics, with a track record of moving projects from research to production.
• Expert proficiency in Python or R, and SQL. Possess a deep mathematical foundation in statistics, probability theory, and optimization algorithms.
• Previous experience navigating a large-scale retail or commercial environment is highly preferred, specifically in handling complex, multi-region datasets.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to independently align metrics, manage expectations, and drive end-to-end delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate the "why" behind complex algorithmic models into actionable insights for global business leaders.
• Solid functional knowledge of GenAI and LLM systems (e.g., RAG patterns, evaluation frameworks, and prompt engineering).
• Professional English fluency is mandatory for global collaboration. Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a significant advantage for regional partnerships.
