About Our Client
Our client is looking for a forward‑thinking leader to step into a Deputy Head position within Innovation CoE. This role acts as the second‑in‑command, driving the advancement of analytics and AI solutions while partnering closely with business units to identify high‑value use cases. You will also play a key role in localising group‑level AI platforms for the Hong Kong market.
Ideal for someone with strong technical grounding in analytics/AI, proven leadership capabilities, and experience in banking or financial services. Cantonese, Mandarin, and English proficiency are essential.
Job Description
- Lead a team of 8 to design and deliver advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
- Identify and validate AI opportunities with internal departments to improve efficiency and customer value.
- Adapt and localise HQ's AI tools and platforms for Hong Kong use.
- Build machine‑learning pipelines using structured and unstructured data.
- Integrate diverse data sources to enable 360‑degree customer intelligence.
- Drive continuous learning and AI adoption across the analytics community.
- Engage business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical and scalable.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Data Science or relevant disciplines
- 8+ years' experience in advanced analytics, data science, or AI within financial services (best from large banks).
- Stable profile with strong foundation in ML/AI techniques, NLP, RPA, and web crawling etc..
- Strong experience in developing advanced machine learning models for customer/ marketing intelligence
- Hands‑on skills in Python, SAS, and modern analytics frameworks.
- Proven track record in successful use case in adopting GenAI Applications on banking environment
- Experience in RegTech/ XAI for KYC, AML and risk management is a plus
- Ability to translate analytical insights into real business impact.
- Strong communication and stakeholder partnering skills.
- Experience in Hong Kong/Chinese banking environments is a plus.
- Fluent in Chinese and English.
