Job Purpose
The Data Processing Engineer is responsible for transforming raw geospatial data (drone, LiDAR, mobile mapping, and satellite data) into accurate, high-quality, and client-ready deliverables. This role ensures processing efficiency, technical accuracy, and compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and internal standards. The engineer works closely with data acquisition, GIS, QA/QC, and project management teams to support large- scale mapping and digital twin projects.
Tasks And Responsibilities
• Process UAV and LiDAR data
• Generate orthophotos, DSM, DTM, and point clouds
• Create 3D models and meshes
• Prepare GIS and CAD deliverables
• Perform quality control and checks
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Meet processing timelines and SLAs
• Report issues and processing status
• Manage data storage and backups
• Coordinate with survey and acquisition teams
• Support project managers and QA teams
• Document processing activities
• Follow company standards and procedures
Education And Professional Qualifications
• Geomatics engineering degree or surveying engineering
