Summary / Objective The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and integrations to support enterprise analytics and operational systems. This role focuses on enabling seamless data flow between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), NetSuite ERP, and other business applications, ensuring high data quality, security, and availability for reporting and decision-making. The position reports to the Sr. VP of Information Systems and supports a hybrid work schedule with minimal travel. Essential Functions • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. • Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL workflows using SSIS and modern data integration tools. • Create and manage enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, SSRS, and SQL Server. • Build and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and KPI frameworks. • Develop and maintain SSRS reports and automated report distributions. • Integrate Azure-based platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory) with on-prem and cloud systems. • Develop and optimize SQL Server and Azure SQL databases for reporting and analytics workloads. • Build and maintain integrations between WMS/TMS platforms and NetSuite ERP using APIs, SuiteQL, and connectors. • Implement data validation, cleansing, and quality controls to ensure data accuracy. • Apply security controls, access policies, and compliance standards across data platforms. • Monitor system and database performance and resolve operational issues. • Develop database maintenance, archiving, and optimization processes. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT teams to deliver reporting and data solutions. • Manage data integration platforms used to ingest customer and operational data. Required Education and Experience • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics environments. • Strong expertise with Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Services. • Advanced experience developing ETL solutions using SSIS, including error handling and automation. • Proven experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports. • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, views, and performance tuning. • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Synapse. • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation. • Experience integrating ERP and WMS platforms, including NetSuite. • Experience implementing data governance, security, and role-based access controls. • Familiarity with Power BI Gateway, workspace management, and enterprise BI deployment models. Preferred Qualifications • Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Power BI, SQL Server, or Fabric). • Experience supporting logistics, operations, and finance reporting environments. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data and BI deployments. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
