About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team and support the development and maintenance of robust data infrastructure on the Azure Data Platform. This role is critical for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines, as well as managing data repositories, data lakes, and data warehouses that drive insights across the organization. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics. • Develop, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data ingestion. • Design and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and other data repositories to support advanced analytics and reporting needs. • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance by applying best practices in data engineering and metadata management. • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet reporting and analytical needs. • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, implementing improvements where necessary. • Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and version control for data engineering workflows. • Apply data security and compliance standards in line with organizational and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience in data engineering roles with a strong focus on cloud platforms. • Proficiency with Azure Data Platform tools, including Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, ADLS (Azure Data Lake Storage), and Databricks. • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes. • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and/or PySpark for data transformation. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git). • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop. • Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization tools for dashboard integration. • Exposure to data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure Purview). • Azure certifications such as DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure are a plus.
