We are seeking a qualified Data Centre Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of mission-critical data centre projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for developing compliant, reliable, and constructible engineering designs in accordance with local authority requirements and international standards. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary EPC environment, coordinating with internal engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure timely and compliant project delivery. Skills Key Responsibilities Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering designs for data centre facilitiesDesign and coordinate electrical, mechanical, cooling, and fire/life safety systemsDevelop power distribution and redundancy strategies (N, N+1, 2N)Design cooling systems suitable for high ambient temperature conditions in Saudi ArabiaEnsure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), SEC, Saudi Civil Defence, and applicable international standardsCoordinate with architectural, civil, structural, IT, and telecom disciplinesPrepare technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documentationReview contractor shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvalsProvide engineering support during construction, testing, commissioning, and handoverParticipate in technical reviews, authority inspections, and audits Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringUptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD), Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of experience in data centre or mission-critical facility design, preferably in hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centresExperience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCCSound knowledge of MEP systems, redundancy concepts, and critical infrastructure design Preferred Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registrationExperience with EPC or engineering consultancy environmentsFamiliarity with Uptime Institute Tier, TIA-942, ASHRAE, IEC, NFPA standardsExperience in hyperscale, enterprise, or government data centre projectsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination Saudization In line with the Kingdom’s Saudization and Vision 2030 objectives, qualified Saudi nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.
