The Project Delivery Office is seeking a Project Manager, Northern Corridors (Contract), with strong construction experience to manage multiple projects, in both the design and execution phases.
This role requires technical expertise and project management experience in the planning, engineering, design, construction and administration of transit/rail capital infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage projects involving effective coordination and liaison with many internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage the processing of payments, RFIs, shop drawing cycles, change orders and change directives.
• Provide reports to multiple stakeholders and Senior Management, including schedule management, cost management, stakeholder management, risk management, design and engineering, quality, safety, document control, flagging, corridor access, etc.
• Estimate engineering, construction and contingency costs, and forecast time frames for implementation and funding expenditures.
• Identify, monitor, mitigate, and escalate issues that can potentially put the success of the project at risk.
• Manage multiple complex projects throughout the project management lifecycle within corporate commitments of budget, schedule, risk, safety, quality, etc.
• Coordinate the tender and award of contracts, property requests for acquisitions, purchase orders, change orders for supply/construction contracts and addenda for consultant assignments.
• Review and evaluate consultant studies, reports, design proposals, specifications and contract documents for compliance with Metrolinx policies, procedures and standards, and any other applicable industry guidelines or practices.
