I’m supporting a major global trading organisation with the build-out of a brand-new data engineering team, and we’re looking for an experiencedAzure Data Engineerto join on a long-term contract.
This is a hands-on, technical role working on large-scale, enterprise-level data platforms. Ideal for someone who wants to work with cutting-edge Azure services in a high-performance trading environment.
What you will do ...
• Designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions using Azure Databricks, ADF, ADLS, Event Hub, and other Azure services
• Working closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver business-critical data solutions
• Optimizing data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scale
• Ensuring data security, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Troubleshooting data issues and maintaining platform stability
What i need from you ...
• Extensive experience in data engineering with a deep focus on Azure
• Strong, hands-on expertise across all areas of Azure (data bricks, Factory, Lake storage)
• Proficiency with PySpark, Scala, and SQL
• Solid experience in data modelling, data warehousing, and big data ecosystems
• Knowledge of Delta Lake
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and best practices
• Excellent communication skills (critical for this role)
