Commercial Sales Specialist (Rio Tinto Services Inc., Chicago, IL)
Accurately prepare contracts and deal summaries. Work with the commercial services and logistics teams to successfully execute on trades. Be first point of contact for customers for routine requests. Ensure customer requests are properly represented in monthly planning. Develop processes to improve the customer experience and drive efficiencies. Develop sound understanding of the market, supply & demand drivers, and key trends. Support Commercial Manager and Strategic Marketing team on Book Strategy formation and negotiation mandates. Maintain and grow relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including Customers, Logistics, and Operation sites.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, $126,298.00 per year.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept 6 years of related work experience.
Must have 3 years of experience in
• Commercial, sales or business development experience in business-to-business (B2B) context.
• Contract administration; and
• Experience in the metals, mining or chemicals industry.
Must have 2 years of experience in procurement/trading and regional logistics.
Must have 1 year of experience in
• PowerBI, Advanced Excel and other BI tools; and
• SAP and Anaplan.
Domestic travel required up to 10%.
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
