Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the delivery of a Therapeutic Recreation / Life Skills Day Program. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide customer-centric and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic recreation programs for adults with disabilities
• Provide individualized support and guidance to participants as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required
The ideal candidate will possess a college diploma in a related field or equivalent experience working with special needs clients. Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with adults with disabilities is required. Certifications such as Standard First Aid, CPR/AED, Crisis Prevention/Intervention training, AODA Customer Service/IASR Training, Ergonomic Lifts and Transfers are also essential.
The selected candidate will be comfortable working in various environments and be able to lead small groups effectively. They must have advanced communication skills and display initiative to deliver high-quality results.
