Title: System Engineer (Power Generation) Duration: 12months Location: Pickering, ON Qualifications Skills: • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles, plant systems, and equipment relevant to power generation (nuclear, hydroelectric, or thermal). • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical problems, interpret data, and develop effective solutions. • Problem-Solving: Skilled in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. • Project Management: Capable of managing multiple priorities, planning tasks, and meeting deadlines. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in technical work and documentation. • Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with operations, maintenance, and regulatory staff. • Safety Awareness: Commitment to safety culture, regulatory compliance, and best practices in the nuclear industry. • Experience: • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience in power generation, utilities, or a related industrial environment. • Experience with system engineering, design engineering, maintenance, operations, or project engineering is preferred. • Professional designations or licenses: • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario is preferred; however, candidates who are eligible and actively pursuing their P.Eng. designation in the near future are also encouraged to apply.
