We are seeking a Lead Kafka Administrator to provide technical expertise and oversee day-to-day deliverables for the team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale business systems with a focus on Apache Kafka and related technologies. You will play a key role in optimizing event-driven architectures and ensuring seamless data streaming across enterprise platforms. This position requires strong leadership skills to drive innovation and mentor team members in adopting best practices. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of New York, NY or Alpharetta, GA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations. • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time. • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology • Experience in Deploy, configure and maintain Confluent Kafka with experience in Kafka upgrades and patching Preferred Qualification: • Knowledge in Administer security protocols and access controls to protect the platform. • Knowledge in Monitor cluster health and performance using our established monitoring stack(Prometheus, Grafana) • Experience in Develop and enhance automation scripts to streamline operational tasks and reduce manual intervention. • Experience in Kafka upgrades and patching ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transitions. • Experience in Troubleshoot and resolve cluster-related incidents such as broker outages, replication lag • Experience in Deploy, configure and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in a highly available environment. • Knowledge in Assist with planning and managing cluster resources to support future growth. • Knowledge in Linux system administration • Knowledge in Python and/or Bash scripting for automation. • Knowledge in Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and observability. • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment. • Good Analytical skills. • verbal and written communication skills • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment. Estimated annual compensation range for candidate based on New York, NY will be Min - 82,419 to Max - 107,145.
