Our client is looking for a Product Design Manager to join their team. This will be onsite 3-4x per week in downtown Toronto.
You will be hands on, as well as leading/ mentoring a few direct reports (Senior Product Designers).
Responsibilities:
Own and drive the design strategy for advisor-facing web experiences, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Lead and mentor a team of product designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define design priorities and roadmap.
Oversee the creation of design systems, UX frameworks, and scalable UI components.
Advocate for user-centered design and accessibility across all touchpoints.
Present design concepts and rationale to executive stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in digital product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Deep expertise in asset management and advisor-facing platforms within financial services.
Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, elegant UX/UI solutions, and measurable impact.
Proficiency in Figma and other design/prototyping tools.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
Consultancy or agency experience with enterprise clients.
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance in digital design.
Background in service design or systems thinking.
