We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in PostgreSQL , and ideally, working knowledge of DB2 LUW . The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database solutions that align with performance, scalability, and company standards. They will actively contribute to all phases of system development and ongoing support while monitoring and optimizing database performance. Location: Singapore Required Experience & Skills: 6+ years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database administration Proficient in designing, configuring, testing, and supporting high-availability PostgreSQL clusters In-depth knowledge of operational requirements including hardware, architecture, configuration, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical PostgreSQL production environments Expertise in logical and physical backup & recovery , including Point-In-Time Recovery (PITR) Strong understanding of streaming replication and Barman for backup and recovery Familiarity with authentication mechanisms and privilege management Experience in managing PostgreSQL cluster environments , upgrades , and version migrations Skilled in performance tuning , replication , and scripting for database automation and maintenance Strong grasp of both logical and physical database design , performance monitoring, and issue resolution Knowledge of DB2 LUW and MongoDB administration is a plus Key Responsibilities: Participate in planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of database solutions Handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities Perform installations, migrations, patches, and upgrades of database systems Implement proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, tracing, backup, recovery, and on-call support Identify and mitigate potential issues to enhance database reliability and performance Offer technical guidance on system/database integration and new project implementations Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred Professional certifications in database technologies are an added advantage Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
