My client, a leading investment bank with global presence, is actively seeking a talented and experienced C# Developer to join their equities technology arm. As a C# Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that support the middle office operations of their organization. Your primary focus will be on designing, coding, and testing C# applications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
The role:
• Develop and maintain C# applications to support the middle office operations, including trade processing, risk management, and compliance.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and implement software solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the middle office systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using C# and other relevant technologies.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed software.
• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front office developers, operations staff, and QA engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in C# development and financial markets technology.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
What you offer:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience of developing commercial applications in C# and .NET framework.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience in developing middle office applications or financial systems is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience developing Excel, VBA and front office experience also highly desirable.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design concepts.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
