We are seeking someone to join our Risk and Information Management team as a Business and Data Analyst with skill in Non-Financial Risk Technology to work with our Agile teams in delivering high-quality product with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
This is a Business Analyst role with a need for complex data extraction and analysis to better understand the system challenges and refine business rules and requirements.
As a Business Analyst, the candidate will need to understand the business stakeholders demands and translate that into meaningful metrics/dashboards to review. The candidate will check the feasibility of these demands based on available data and propose visuals and formulas that will support the stakeholders demands. When additional data is required, the candidate will collaborate with the business and partner teams to identify new data feeds to collect. The candidate will run some proof of concepts to confirm the usefulness of the metrics and collect users feedback.
The candidate will document the implementation stories for the development team and validate the produced deliverables so that produced reports or metrics can be delivered to production with complete accuracy.

What you will do in the role:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors to gather and analyze business requirements for custom and prepackaged software solutions.
• Conduct detailed business process analysis to identify areas for improvement, optimization and automation within the organization.
• Work closely with project managers and developers to translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
• Take ownership of requirement management, ensuring traceability from initial requirements through to system deployment and maintenance.
• Strong business understanding and ability to understand new concepts
• Ability to identify potential problems in a process and define an analysis process to assess actual risks
• Ability to assess data quality, completeness, and relevance.
• Ability to elaborate/design a processing strategy/logic based on conceptual ideas stated by the business
• Ability to design a data model and table structure based on business requirements.
• Ability to refine the processing strategy/logic based on facts discovered during the analysis phase
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to produce clear reporting from raw data
• Excellent presentation skills to present analysis results to business or senior stakeholders
• Ability to write queries in SQL or other query languages
• Ability to write detailed Agile user stories
• Ability to write detailed functional test cases for the user stories
• Participate in system testing, validation and user acceptance testing to ensure the delivered solution meets business needs and expectations.
• Identify and document risks, issues, and dependencies related to technology projects and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide support and guidance to junior business analysts and other team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the technology department.
What you will bring to this role:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment, preferably in the banking or finance industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent Communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Good to have:
• Ability to write reports in visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI or Tableau)
• Scripting ability to process large data sets (e.g. python)
• Development notions like source code control, deployment process, etc.
