CarStar Ottawa East is currently seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, adaptable, a self-starter and takes pride in putting in a hard day’s work. The potential candidate will work closely with the General to contribute to the day-to-day operation of the dealership’s body shop department in compliance with established policies and procedures. The Body Shop Manager will need to maintain the highest quality standard of professionalism in serving our customers, working with our service team, and identifying all their needs. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities. Work with the General Manager and Director of Service Operations to take appropriate action as necessary. • Help lead the body shop team to achieve short and long-term operating and financial objectives. • Provide administrative support to the Body Shop department, ensuring work orders are closed in a timely manner. • Handle customer concerns/issues in a professional and effective manner. • Coordinates and oversees that training programs are properly conducted and maintained. • Ensure the health and safety of staff and customers alike in an around the dealership. • Maintains records and reports on all phases of service activities • Keeps General Manager informed of all pertinent service activities • Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of 3 years of related experience • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills • Bilingualism would be considered an asset • Ability to easily adapt to various computer software programs • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines What we offer • Full-time, permanent position • Competitive compensation package • Positive work environment with superior management support • Employee discounts • Group benefits Start your application today!
