The Role
As a Python Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in creating the infrastructure that supports our autonomous engineering agents. Responsibilities will include model serving, simulation management, multi-agent coordination, and crafting robust, developer-friendly APIs. Your work will enable fast, reliable, and scalable systems that engineers will trust in critical production environments.
Your Responsibilities:
• Design and build the core backend infrastructure for autonomous AI agents with a focus on scalability and multi-agent orchestration.
• Create and maintain robust APIs, seamlessly integrating essential third-party tools like CAD software and simulation platforms.
• Develop services that process and serve advanced 3D visualizations from both simulation and geometric data.
• Collaborate with ML, frontend, and simulation teams to refine our product offerings while engaging directly with early customers.
• Make crucial architectural decisions that will shape the technical capabilities and scalability of our platform.
Essential Requirements:
• Strong experience in backend software engineering with a primary emphasis on Python.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and maintaining production-level APIs (experience with FastAPI is preferred, but Flask and Django will also be considered).
• Familiarity with 3D visualization libraries or tools such as PyVista, ParaView, or VTK.
• Strong systems-thinking skills and the ability to analyze the interplay between compute, data, and models.
• A proven record of thriving in fast-paced environments where proactivity and end-to-end ownership are paramount.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
• Experience integrating with scientific or engineering applications (such as CAD, FEA, or CFD tools).
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, workflow orchestration engines, or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of model serving frameworks (e.g., TorchServe or Triton) or simulation backends.
• Previous experience developing tools for developers or roles that require direct customer engagement in technical contexts.
