Overview Our team directly supports analytics activation for the bank. Applications we support significantly contribute to the bank's top line. We use cloud‑native application practices and modern data approaches to deliver performant software used by all channels. Job Summary We are looking for a strong back‑end developer with a cloud engineering background or certifications and a keen interest to learn new technologies, including AI, to join our team. Roles & Responsibilities • Analyze, design, and develop systems based upon user specifications. • Provide technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems. • Use the technical tools available for systems development and support. • Maintain knowledge of technical industry trends, especially as they apply to Huntington. • Assist with identifying training needs or provide training for less experienced staff. • Serve as project leader for specific projects. • Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree. • 5–7+ years of development experience using Java, building API‑enabled apps and event‑driven architecture. • Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures; knowledge of Oracle and Snowflake. • 2+ years of production support, infrastructure engineering or administration experience. • Experience with or a good working knowledge of DevSecOps; Kubernetes or other container‑based technologies including deployment pipelines. • Learning mindset with openness to learn new technologies, build things and experiment. • Experience working on product teams with awareness of agile practices. • Certifications such as cloud architect, engineer or developer are strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with marketing applications or integration background. • Previous architecture or tech‑lead experience. • Deep knowledge of microservices patterns, Spring framework including Spring Boot and batch. • Ability to balance both development and support roles. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with excellent communication. • Strong interpersonal skills, customer‑service focus, and ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups. • Certifications such as cloud architect, engineer or developer are strongly preferred. Exempt Status Yes (not eligible for overtime pay). Workplace Type Office. Certain positions may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, combining in‑office and work‑from‑home. Specific arrangements will be provided by the hiring team. Compensation Range 70,000.00 – 140,000.00 USD Annual (base). Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, and performance. Eligible for incentive compensation plan.
