Experteer Overview
In this role you will help build scalable back-end services for Credit Compass, enabling SMEs to understand and improve their credit health. You’ll work within a cross-functional squad to integrate new data sources, design robust APIs, and ship features that provide actionable insights. You’ll balance technical feasibility with customer impact while contributing to reliable, well-tested code. This is a chance to shape the data-driven backbone powering SME credit decisions at a growth-focused fintech.

• Build and ship new back-end features (e.g., Monitoring, Cashflow Analysis, Spend Benchmarking)
• Transform raw Open Banking, credit bureau, and internal data into clear visualisations and nudges
• Contribute to full development lifecycle from design to rollout
• Maintain and support core Credit Compass systems with emphasis on code quality
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to protect user trust and performance
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to balance user impact with technical feasibility
• Participate in squad rituals and code reviews to share context and best practices
• Improve internal tools and CRM integrations to speed response to user behaviour
Tasks
• Experience building and maintaining back-end services in Python, ideally with Django
• Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL) and ability to query/integrate third-party APIs
• Strong verbal and written communication to translate technical work for the team
• Curiosity and product mindset with data-driven decision making
• Experience writing automated tests and ensuring safe releases
