Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager - Data Analytics / AWS Modernization / Insurance in the Financial Services in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives across data analytics, AWS modernization, and insurance programs. The role requires strong technical delivery skills, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing enterprise technology projects, especially cloud modernization and data ecosystems, and can navigate fast-moving, complex environments.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end project delivery for data analytics, AWS modernization, and insurance initiatives
• Drive project planning, scope definition, schedule management, financial tracking, and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with technical teams, architects, product owners, business partners, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely execution
• Oversee cloud migration and AWS modernization workstreams, ensuring adherence to best practices, governance, and security requirements
• Manage stakeholders across business and technology groups, providing clear communication, status reporting, and issue escalation
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple initiatives and ensure integration with broader program objectives
• Facilitate project ceremonies, steering committees, and working groups
Successful candidates will have:
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of Project Management experience, ideally within financial services, insurance, or large enterprise environments
• Strong background managing data analytics, cloud migration, and AWS modernization projects
• Solid understanding of data platforms, ETL pipelines, reporting solutions, and cloud architecture concepts
• Experience working with insurance systems, regulatory considerations, or actuarial workflows is an asset
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple parallel workstreams
• PMP, Scrum Master, or AWS certifications considered an advantage
