Job Description
We’re working with a respected public sector organization in Vancouver seeking a Software Developer to lead and support development initiatives that directly impact user-facing tools used by thousands of internal and external stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead full-stack development projects from design through to deployment and support
• Serve as a senior technical resource for solution architecture, coding standards, and platform optimization
• Troubleshoot production issues and mentor junior developers on best practices
• Evaluate and recommend automation and AI/ML enhancements to improve business systems
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope and deliver technical components
• Maintain development pipelines, testing protocols, and version control systems to ensure high-quality releases
Qualifications and Skills
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience or equivalent education/experience
• Proficiency in several of the following:
Java, C#, C++, Python, SQL/Oracle, XML
• Strong experience with RPA platform administration
• Hands-on exposure to AI/ML, Deep Learning, and LLM (Large Language Models)
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms like HPSM or Service Now
• Agile leadership experience (Scrum Master or technical team lead capacity)
• Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools like Jenkins, Git Hub, or SPLUNK
• Web service development (REST APIs, message queues, sync/async integrations)
• Strong communication, mentorship, and problem-solving skills
