A leading investment firm is seeking a Senior Azure Engineer to join their NYC-based technology group. This is a high-impact role where you’ll be instrumental in building scalable, secure internal platforms hosted in Azure—modernising legacy systems and shaping greenfield development across portfolio management, risk, and finance.
This role suits an ambitious engineer who’s confident designing end-to-end Azure solutions, enjoys full-stack challenges, and thrives in a collaborative team of strong technologists.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Lead the development of internal web applications and data processing services using Azure-native architecture (Functions, App Services, Azure SQL, Blob, etc.).
• Build clean, efficient APIs and integrate with financial systems using modern .NET Core and T-SQL.
• Design UI components using React/Angular and contribute to reusable frameworks.
• Collaborate directly with front-office, finance, and risk teams to solve real-world business challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s technical excellence.
Core Tech:
• Azure (Functions, App Services, SQL, Blob Storage, DevOps, AD)
• C#/.NET Core, RESTful APIs, T-SQL
• React, Angular or similar frameworks
• Agile development and CI/CD best practices
Bonus Points For:
• Python, Docker/Kubernetes, Redis, ETL pipelines
• Experience in mortgage finance, risk systems, or fixed income platforms
