Chemical Engineers play a key role in API projects from late-stage development to commercialization. This Principal Research Scientist position ensures processes can be run safely, addressing scale-up issues and developing robust API process steps from lab to manufacturing. Once commercialized, the process engineer is responsible for continuous improvement activities, technical transfer to manufacturing sites, and resolution of technical manufacturing issues.
As a lead scientist, this role conceives, executes, and communicates novel research strategies that achieve project goals. Key responsibilities include overseeing peptide synthesis processes from development to commercialization, leading technical investigative troubleshooting, and authoring publications and presentations.
The ideal candidate will have experience with API and natural product processes in pharmaceuticals, peptide development, and/or manufacturing. Strong scientific knowledge, leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities are required for success in this role.
