Job Title: Azure Support Lead (SRE W/ Java )
Location: California (Bay Area) 4 Days Onsite
Role Overview
• Seeking a senior Azure Support Lead with strong experience in Azure Cloud (Storage, AKS/Kubernetes, APIM, Log Analytics) & Azure Cloud to lead production support, incident management, automation, and stakeholder coordination for large-scale enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Own L2/L3 production support and incident resolution
• Drive system availability, scalability, performance, and observability
• Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems
• Automate operational processes using Python/Shell scripting
• Support deployments, post-deployment monitoring, and change management
• Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, and telemetry
• Evaluate tools, build POCs, and support cloud migration initiatives
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audit controls
• Lead support team delivery and manage stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years in software development, technical operations, and application support
• 8+ years hands-on experience with:
• Java 8/17, J2EE
• Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate
• Microservices & REST APIs
• UNIX Shell scripting
• Windows OS troubleshooting
• Strong object-oriented programming and analytical skills
Mandatory Technical Skills
• Azure Cloud (Storage, AKS/Kubernetes, APIM, Log Analytics)
• Cosmos DB (SQL/NoSQL), Synapse
• Kafka
• RDBMS & SQL, NoSQL concepts
• CI/CD pipelines, build & deployment tools
• Spark jobs setup/debugging; data processing & integrity
• Exposure to Hadoop, Spark Streaming, ETL frameworks
• Python & Shell scripting for automation
Additional Requirements
• Experience managing support teams and deliveries
• Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
• Familiarity with support tools, SLAs, and escalation processes
