Job Title: Senior IAM Azure Designer
Work Location: 14 Carlton Street, Toronto, ON (3 Days Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
RATE: $65/hr — $75/hr.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Azure Designer to lead strategic planning and governance for our Azure cloud environment. This role focuses on architecture, policy development, and security alignment, rather than day-to-day operational tasks. You will collaborate closely with IT Security Architecture and Operations teams to ensure a secure, compliant, and scalable cloud presence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Azure cloud architecture strategies aligned with business and security objectives.
• Collaborate with security engineers to integrate Zero Trust principles, compliance frameworks, and IAM best practices.
• Define governance models, identity lifecycle policies, and access control standards.
• Provide guidance on secure deployment patterns, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Advise on cost optimization, scalability, and resilience planning.
• Create and maintain documentation for cloud security policies, IAM workflows, and governance standards.
• Support vendor evaluations and integration planning for IAM and cloud security solutions.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Azure architecture, IAM strategy, or cloud security planning.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management concepts.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and Zero Trust architecture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate technical security requirements into actionable governance policies.
Preferred Certifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Azure Security Engineer Associate
• CISSP or equivalent cloud security certification
