Description
The Cloud Infrastructure & Dev Ops Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. This role blends deep knowledge of networking, infrastructure architecture, identity and access management, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) practices. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with Terraform, Azure cloud services, and modern programming languages such as Python to automate and optimize cloud operations.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (VNETs, VPNs, DNS, routing, firewalls).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure services.
• Proficiency with Terraform, including modules, workspaces, and state management.
• Solid programming skills in Python or a comparable language.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab CI, etc.) is an asset.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Nice to Have
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to Secret Management Tools (Azure Key Vault, Hashi Corp Vault).
• Background in SRE, Dev Ops, or platform engineering.
Deliverables
Cloud Infrastructure & Networking
• Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Design and manage virtual networks, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network related issues across cloud and onprem environments.
Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Implement and manage IAM policies, RBAC, service principals, and least privilege access models.
• Ensure secure authentication and authorization across cloud resources and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct periodic access reviews and enforce compliance standards.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / IaC)
• Develop, maintain, and version Terraform configurations for Azure infrastructure.
• Manage Terraform state securely and efficiently using remote backends and state locking mechanisms.
• Build reusable Terraform modules to standardize infrastructure deployment patterns.
• Automate provisioning workflows for compute, networking, storage, and platform services.
Automation & Programming
• Write automation scripts and tooling using Python or another modern programming language.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and reduce manual effort.
• Build internal utilities, APIs, or scripts to support infrastructure operations and monitoring.
