Job Description A global leader in digital platforms and large-scale software systems is looking for a Backend Engineer to build and enhance mission-critical backend services. You'll work with modern serverless architecture using Python, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Kinesis, SQS, RDS, and S3. This is a contract role full ownership, modern technology, and the ability to ship impactful work that will be used by millions of end users. What makes this opportunity exciting? Contract Length: 6 Months Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of backend software development using Python Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs & Microservices Experience deploying serverless applications with AWS Lambda Strong experience with AWS infrastructure/services Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases Solid grasp of object-oriented & functional programming principles Understanding of microservice architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems Desired Skills & Experience Experience with Docker or Kubernetes Experience with design patterns, algorithms, and data structures Ability to design systems for scalability and low latency What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 90% Python + AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Kinesis, SQS, S3, RDS) 10% Container platforms (Docker / Kubernetes) Daily Responsibilities 80% Hands-On Development & Architecture 20% Team Collaboration The Offer Competitive contract rate You will receive the following benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
