Job Description
A global leader in digital platforms and large-scale software systems is looking for a Backend Engineer to build and enhance mission-critical backend services. You'll work with modern serverless architecture using Python, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Kinesis, SQS, RDS, and S3. This is a contract role full ownership, modern technology, and the ability to ship impactful work that will be used by millions of end users.

Contract Length: 6 Months
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of backend software development using Python
Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs & Microservices
Experience deploying serverless applications with AWS Lambda
Strong experience with AWS infrastructure/services
Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
Solid grasp of object-oriented & functional programming principles
Understanding of microservice architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
Experience with design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
Ability to design systems for scalability and low latency
