Employment Type: Full-Time / FTE Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Architect & Performance Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-wide test automation and performance engineering strategies. This role requires deep hands-on expertise, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and business teams in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will define automation and performance frameworks, select appropriate tools, and ensure scalability, reliability, and high performance of mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Automation Architecture Design and implement end-to-end test automation frameworks (UI, API, Mobile, and Backend). Define automation strategy, standards, best practices, and governance across multiple teams. Evaluate and recommend automation tools and technologies based on business needs. Integrate automation frameworks into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.). Mentor and guide QA Automation Engineers and cross-functional teams. Ensure reusability, scalability, and maintainability of automation assets. Performance Architecture Design and lead performance, load, stress, and scalability testing strategies. Define performance benchmarks, SLAs, KPIs, and monitoring standards. Conduct performance bottleneck analysis and collaborate with engineering teams on remediation. Architect performance testing frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD workflows. Analyze application behavior across web, API, microservices, and cloud environments. Collaboration & Leadership Work closely with Developers, DevOps, SRE, Product, and Infrastructure teams. Provide architectural guidance during application design and release planning. Drive continuous improvement in quality engineering practices across the organization. Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in Automation and/or Performance Architecture roles. Strong experience designing automation frameworks using tools such as: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit REST Assured, Postman, SOAPUI Strong performance testing expertise using: JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6 (any combination) Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong understanding of microservices architecture, APIs, and distributed systems. Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, etc.). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments (Finance, Healthcare, Retail, SaaS). Exposure to containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with SRE or reliability engineering practices. Certifications in Cloud, Testing, or Performance Engineering.
