What You Will Be Doing
• Architect comprehensive frameworks for AI-powered systems that automate sophisticated elements of software development, including architecture generation, dependency orchestration, and advanced predictive coding capabilities.
• Engage deeply with emerging trends in AI and software engineering through active participation in R&D efforts, conference attendance, and collaboration with academic and professional networks. We require early awareness and adoption of breakthrough AI technologies as they emerge.
What You Won't Be Doing
• Routine Code Maintenance: Performing regular updates or debugging of existing codebases to address minor bugs or incremental functionality improvements.
• Standard Software Development: Executing basic coding or development tasks that involve implementing simple features or functionalities without the integration of AI.
Artificial Intelligence Engineer Key Responsibilities
• Apply your engineering proficiency to deliver substantial gains in development velocity, error reduction, and code quality, driving faster product time-to-market and elevated customer satisfaction.
Basic Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience as a full-stack software developer (you must have both front-end and back-end coding expertise)
• Experience using GenAI code assistants heavily (e.g., Github Copilot, , )
• Previous experience successfully implementing Generative AI products/projects/solutions/tools
• Previous experience leveraging different LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral) to solve business problems
• An understanding of when and why to choose specific LLM models for different tasks
• Demonstrated understanding and prior application of the Model Context Protocol (MCP)

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
