Description The Application Analyst supports, maintains, and optimizes applications within the Ambulatory Systems portfolio. Working under an Application Manager, this role troubleshoots issues, implements enhancements, and partners with business owners, ISS teams, and vendors to deliver effective, sustainable solutions. Deep knowledge of application functionality, workflows, and operational processes is essential. Experience with Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, Payer Platform, and/or Link is required. Background in population health, care coordination, quality improvement, or healthcare data exchange is preferred. Key Responsibilities Support & Maintenance • Respond to Incidents and Service Requests promptly; maintain accurate ServiceNow queues. • Meet SLAs and escalate risks or delays as needed. • Troubleshoot application issues and collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors. • Serve as SME for assigned functionality, departments, or workflows. • Identify, escalate, and track system issues and vendor‑reported gaps. • Conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend solutions. • Participate in on‑call rotation. • Follow change control processes, document changes, and complete thorough testing. • Assist with training materials and end‑user education. Projects • Complete project deliverables on time with accurate documentation. • Gather requirements and prepare specifications for enhancements. • Recommend workflow and build solutions using best practices and vendor guidance. • Review new release functionality, present recommendations, and implement approved features. • Contribute to project planning and resource estimates. • Identify and support optimization opportunities. Additional Responsibilities • Build strong relationships with business owners; act as CRM for small initiatives. • Present at workgroups and support informed decision‑making. • Develop internal procedures and manage competing priorities. • Maintain professionalism in challenging situations. • Perform other duties as assigned. This is a flex-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite at least 10% or as required by operational need; there are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location. Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination. Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $105,700 - $234,500 annually. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the minimum and $130,000 annually. This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement within the state of California. The selected candidate must reside within the state of California or be willing to relocate. This role will be represented by the HX bargaining unit.
