You Are
In your role as an AI Systems Engineering Manager, you will be crucial in designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge AI systems driven by Large Language Models (LLMs). Your contributions will span the entire AI lifecycle, from researching and fine-tuning foundational models to prompt engineering and integrating these systems into production environments. Your expertise will help enhance the performance, accuracy, and alignment of LLMs and AI systems, as you leverage your engineering skills and deep understanding of modern AI architectures to solve real-world challenges. You are passionate about applying AI responsibly and effectively.
Position Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize application prompts and next-gen solutions utilizing foundational models, including LLMs.
• Architect and implement generative agent systems to manage complex tasks effectively through multi-model coordination.
• Create comprehensive strategies for applications and components, ensuring both user experience and backend system efficiency.
• Define, evaluate, and optimize AI system architectures using relevant frameworks and best practices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, providing expert advice on improvements and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
• Build and maintain scalable machine learning infrastructure, featuring distributed training pipelines and seamless API integration.
• Apply advanced evaluation strategies to guarantee model robustness, safety, and fairness while minimizing risks of incorrect outputs.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, aligning AI systems with business objectives through effective communication.
• Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during testing and production stages.
• Document technical architecture and methodologies to facilitate effective knowledge transfer and project advancements.
Travel may be required for this role, varying from 0 to 100% based on business requirements.
Here's what you need:
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in designing and building resilient AI systems or products, implementing controls and guardrails, and best practices for production AI systems.
• At least 4 years of experience creating AI Solutions using design patterns like retrieval augmentation generation (RAG) and managing data pipelines.
• 4 years of experience in engineering teams with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Spring, or Go, demonstrating proficiency in AI Frameworks like Autogen, LangGraph, and Semantic Kernel.
• Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with AI services on these platforms.
• 3 years of experience in AI Engineering focused on applications or products with expertise in fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• 2 years of experience in a leadership role or within team management in AI-related projects.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Bonus Points if you have:
• Experience in training, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLMs and multimodal models using advanced techniques.
• Experience designing frameworks for AI solution value justification, including cost estimation and ROI analysis.
• Experience in building solutions with Model Context Protocol and understanding evolving agent standards.
• Experience developing applications for mobile and web platforms.
• Experience creating Agentic AI systems.
