Our insurance client is looking for a Data Scientist to join its AI Solutions & Innovation function. The role focuses on designing, building, and industrialising AI-driven solutions that support innovation and can be deployed across multiple markets.
Main Responsibilities
• Design and develop AI and machine learning solutions aligned with business and innovation objective
• Translate business or innovation ideas into practical, deployable AI use cases
• Build, test, and iterate machine learning models with a clear path to production
• Collaborate closely with:
o AI and innovation leads
o engineering and platform teams
o business stakeholders
• Contribute to proof-of-concepts, pilots, and solution industrialisation
• Support model evaluation, validation, and performance monitoring
• Document approaches, assumptions, and trade-offs to enable reuse and scaling
• Stay up to date on AI and Generative AI trends and assess their relevance to the insurance domain
Qualifications & Experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, AI Engineer, or applied ML profile
• Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end AI use cases
• Exposure to production or near-production environment
• Strong proficiency in Python for data science and machine learning
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, feature engineering and model evaluation and validation
• Familiarity with: real-world data pipelines and data quality challenges; cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices (version control, reproducibility, testing)
Nice to Have
• Exposure to Generative AI / LLM-based solutions
• Experience with APIs, microservices, or ML deployment patterns
• Experience in insurance, banking, or other regulated environments
