A well-established oncology practice in Western New York, approximately 90 minutes south of Buffalo, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Specialty Services team. Position Overview
Under indirect supervision, the APP will provide comprehensive care to oncology patients in a specialty services setting. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, developing treatment plans, ordering diagnostics, and collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct medical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Manage follow-up care and patient education
• Document clinical findings and maintain accurate medical records
• Coordinate with specialists and support staff
• Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
Qualifications
• Current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
• DEA license required
• Eligible for hospital/practice privileges
• Oncology experience preferred, but strong clinical background considered
