CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler™, acquired Weights & Biases to create the most powerful end-to-end platform to develop, deploy, and iterate AI faster. Since 2017, CoreWeave has operated a growing footprint of data centers covering every region of the US and across Europe, and was ranked as one of the TIME100 most influential companies of 2024. By bringing together CoreWeave’s industry-leading cloud infrastructure with the best-in-class tools AI practitioners know and love from Weights & Biases, we’re setting a new standard for how AI is built, trained, and scaled.
The integration of our teams and technologies is accelerating our shared mission: to empower developers with the tools and infrastructure they need to push the boundaries of what AI can do. From experiment tracking and model optimization to high-performance training clusters, agent building, and inference at scale, we’re combining forces to serve the full AI lifecycle — all in one seamless platform.
Weights & Biases has long been trusted by over 1,500 organizations — including AstraZeneca, Canva, Cohere, OpenAI, Meta, Snowflake, Square,Toyota, and Wayve — to build better models, AI agents and applications. Now, as part of CoreWeave, that impact is amplified across a broader ecosystem of AI innovators, researchers, and enterprises.
As we unite under one vision, we’re looking for bold thinkers and agile builders who are excited to shape the future of AI alongside us. If you're passionate about solving complex problems at the intersection of software, hardware, and AI, there's never been a more exciting time to join our team.
About The Role
The Account Manager owns the commercial and relationship aspects of the post-sales journey across a portfolio of Digital Native and select Enterprise customers. You will drive renewals, identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensure customers achieve measurable adoption outcomes with Weights & Biases (W&B).
You’ll partner closely with Field Engineering (FE)—who leads technical success—while you lead the commercial motions: renewal execution, usage-to-value alignment, growth pipeline creation, and multi-threaded stakeholder engagement.
Success in this role requires strong commercial instincts, deep technical curiosity, and a genuine interest in AI/ML. You must be comfortable engaging highly technical personas (e.g., ML engineers, researchers, PhDs), navigating ambiguous situations, and operating with autonomy in a rapidly evolving AI ecosystem. This is not a playbook-driven role—you’ll need to self-direct, learn rapidly, and solve problems creatively without waiting for detailed instructions.
Responsibilities
Post-Sales Ownership & Growth
• Own renewals, upsells, and cross-sells across your assigned accounts.
• Build and maintain detailed account plans including account maps, whitespace, usage trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Generate growth pipeline by identifying new use cases, teams, and product opportunities within existing accounts.
• Maintain weekly forecasting accuracy and CRM hygiene across renewals and growth motions.
• Connect adoption data to clear value narratives that support commercial decisions.
Customer Success & Adoption Alignment
• Collaborate with Field Engineering to support onboarding, adoption ramp-up, and technical success.
• Monitor usage and health signals to identify risk early and surface expansion opportunities.
• Lead proactive customer touchpoints, including check-ins, QBRs, and adoption reviews.
• Understand customer ML workflows, data processes, infrastructure constraints, and team objectives.
Strategic Engagement & Relationship Management
• Build multi-threaded relationships across practitioners, champions, team leads, and decision-makers.
• Engage technical stakeholders with curiosity and credibility; explore ML and workflow details to uncover value.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by linking product capabilities to business outcomes and ML development impact.
• Represent the voice of the customer internally by sharing structured insights with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams.
Operational Excellence
• Maintain accurate documentation of account activity, forecasts, risks, and next steps.
• Execute renewal and expansion cycles with consistency, commercial judgment, and attention to detail.
• Operate autonomously in ambiguous situations—drive clarity, propose solutions, and move work forward without heavy guidance.
• Partner with FE, Product, Support, and Marketing to deliver a cohesive and effective customer experience.
Minimum Requirements
• 6+ years in B2B/SaaS customer-facing roles commercializing technical products.
• 3+ years in a quota-carrying Account Management, Sales, or Renewals role owning post-sales outcomes.
• Strong, genuine interest in AI/ML and the evolving machine learning ecosystem.
• High technical and product curiosity; comfortable speaking with developers, ML engineers, and researchers.
• Proven ability to drive growth motions (upsells, cross-sells) and manage retention in technical accounts.
• Strong operational discipline: forecasting accuracy, CRM hygiene, renewal cadence management.
• Thrives in ambiguity; able to self-direct and operate independently without detailed playbooks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business personas.
Nice to Have
• Experience working with ML, MLOps, DevOps, or data infrastructure teams.
• Familiarity with Git, Jupyter, Python, PyTorch, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience designing or executing account activation or expansion strategies.
• Exposure to AI-native companies, model builders, or generative AI workflows.
What Success Looks Like
• Meets or exceeds renewal, upsell, and cross-sell targets with consistent forecast accuracy.
• Builds trust and credibility with technical users and team leads.
• Maintains proactive account plans and surfaces whitespace early.
• Operates with clarity and independence in ambiguous situations.
• Generates meaningful expansion pipeline through curiosity, discovery, and customer engagement.
