Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator
Location: Dubai, UAE

We are currently looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team in Dubai. This is an onsite role within the banking domain, ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and have a strong foundation in database administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL database servers
- Design and implement robust backup and recovery processes
- Ensure top-notch database security and manage user access
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex DB issues
- Work hand-in-hand with development and operations teams
- Automate routine tasks to streamline DB administration
- Plan and carry out database migrations and version upgrades
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
- Support disaster recovery strategies and testing
- Perform capacity planning and optimize resource usage
• *Requirements**:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA (Oracle experience is a plus)
Strong command of SQL and performance optimization techniques
Expertise in backup, recovery, high availability, and replication
Solid understanding of database security best practices
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues quickly
Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments
Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Python
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
