This is a hybrid role, requiring up to 4 days a week in our Manhattan office. You’ll be joining a lean and agile team, playing a key role in building, scaling, and optimizing our Azure cloud infrastructure as we transition from a predominantly on-premise Windows Server environment to the cloud. This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll wear many hats—ranging from architecture and deployment to automation and support. You’ll be given the autonomy to influence cloud strategy, implement best practices, and make a meaningful impact on the company’s growth and scalability. Responsibilities: • Lead and execute the design, implementation, and management of Azure-based infrastructure and services. • Migrate existing on-prem Windows Server workloads to Azure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Develop and enforce cloud governance, security, and cost management policies. • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, PowerShell, or Terraform. • Collaborate cross-functionally with software engineers, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment with business needs. • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability. • Evaluate and implement Azure services and tools that align with the company's goals and growth plans. Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. • Deep experience with Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. • Proficiency with Azure IaaS, PaaS, and networking services (e.g., Virtual Machines, VNets, Load Balancers, Azure AD, Azure Monitor). • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Terraform, or similar tools. • Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management (IAM), and cost optimization in Azure. • Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery, backup, and high availability solutions. • Excellent problem-solving skills, self-starter mentality, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
