Overview
As part of the development project for the new monitoring solution for sales and validation equipment, we require a QA Analyst to:
• Write test plans and test cases using the Xray tool
• Prepare test environments
• Execute manual tests on the system under test (web interface and interaction with sales/validation equipment when required)
• Document defects in Jira
• Participate in defect triage
• Perform certain API tests using the appropriate tools
• Develop quality assurance strategies and test plans
• Estimate test execution efforts
• Coordinate and participate in test execution
• Document test progress (unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests) and defects
• Recommend and contribute to test case automation
Additional details about the role:
• The candidate will need to write test cases based on documentation
• Must understand the test and defect lifecycle
• Manual testing is the main focus, but automation experience is a nice-to-have
• Must be autonomous in QA
• STM uses Xray for testing; experience with Xray is highly recommended but not mandatory
• Knowledge of Postman for API testing is required
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 10 years of relevant experience in the field
• Excellent knowledge of methodologies and technologies related to software quality
• Experience with Agile development processes
• Knowledge of test case management and defect tracking tools
• Experience in creating and executing test scenarios
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Montréal, QC
