Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the ministry’s migration of existing on-prem and SharePoint-based data systems into the AWS environment.
The role focuses on ETL development, AWS data services, basic automation, and supporting dashboard re-platforming.
Key Responsibilities
• Support migration of data systems and workflows into AWS.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows using AWS services.
• Rewrite existing scripts using Python for data processing and automation.
• Assist with dashboard migration from Tableau to QuickSight.
• Set up data connections from SharePoint, Forms, Lists and internal systems.
• Prepare documentation and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions for users.
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, Glue, Athena, QuickSight).
• Strong Python scripting skills.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with YAML/JSON or basic IaC concepts.
• Experience with Tableau or QuickSight dashboards.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
Good to Have
• Experience with DevOps tools (GitLab, Nexus).
• Understanding of AWS serverless environment.
• Exposure to RPA/automation tools (UiPath or equivalent).
