Cloud Network Engineer (AWS) - Crypto HFT - London - £150k + bonuses
Durlston Partners is working with a Crypto HFT firm that is looking for a Cloud Network Engineer (AWS) to build, secure, and automate the hybrid-cloud infrastructure powering their high-frequency trading platform. You will ensure 24 / 7 uptime and low-latency connectivity between their on-premise data centers, AWS environments, and global crypto exchanges.
Core responsibilities :
• Hybrid Architecture : Manage connectivity between AWS (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) and physical data centers using BGP and OSPF.
• Network Automation : Replace manual workflows with Python scripts and IaC tools (Terraform / Ansible) to provision and update network resources.
• Security : Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls (VM-Series & Physical), implementing granular policies to secure proprietary trading algorithms.
• Performance : Monitor network latency and jitter (Datadog / Splunk) to ensure optimal execution speeds for trading strategies.
