Job Description:
NES Fircroft is hiring an Electrical Engineer Lead for a direct hire position with a leading oil & gas client in Doha, Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
• Function as Discipline Lead and Technical Authority (TA2), providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of discipline engineers on Project.
• Lead and manage the CONTRACTOR's work and team for the successful execution of the Project and to achieve the required technical quality and integrity of work while considering project objectives in terms of safety, time and cost.
• Review and approve deliverables.
Requirements:
• Broad experience in electrical equipment and systems, including HV/MV/LV electrical systems design, switchgear, transformers, power management systems, electrical system controls, power distribution control, large Motors.
• Familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and industry codes.
• High voltage and large-scale onshore power design requirements.
• International Operating Companies (IOCs) and EPC Contractors employment history.
• Experience in FEED and EPIC Oil & Gas Projects.
• Proficiency in International Standards and Shell DEPs in the area of Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in managing discipline planning, resource allocation, and execution to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Strong understanding of project management, with Certificates such as PMP desired.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on effective project execution and stakeholder management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Discipline Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or post graduate qualification in specialized engineering discipline, preferred.
• 20 Years relevant post graduate experience, out of which 10 years in Oil & Gas industry with five years of proven leadership roles.
• Shell Technical Authority Level 2 (TA2), Equivalent, or eligible to receive TA2 designation (upon passing the interview)
