The Opportunity:
Work term of 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting in September 2025
How You Will Contribute:
- Leverage the latest Open Source technologies to solve challenging problems
- Create visualizations, dashboards, and alerts to provide insight into Development Engine Operations
- Work closely with leads in cross functional teams and identify improvement opportunities.
- Create excellent documentation and system diagrams.

The Must Haves:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
- Experience with Python, Java, or any current programming language
- Experience interacting with databases and REST microservices
Assets:
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Previous experience or comfort navigating a Linux based environment
- Metrics and Visualization Stacks ( ELK, OpenSearch )
- Docker
- Experience or knowledge work/activity tracking tools
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
