The Opportunity: Work term of 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting in September 2025 How You Will Contribute: - Leverage the latest Open Source technologies to solve challenging problems - Create visualizations, dashboards, and alerts to provide insight into Development Engine Operations - Work closely with leads in cross functional teams and identify improvement opportunities. - Create excellent documentation and system diagrams. The Must Haves: - Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science or similar technical field of study - Experience with Python, Java, or any current programming language - Experience interacting with databases and REST microservices Assets: - Experience with Jira and Confluence - Previous experience or comfort navigating a Linux based environment - Metrics and Visualization Stacks ( ELK, OpenSearch ) - Docker - Experience or knowledge work/activity tracking tools Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
