Position Summary: The Project and Product Manager plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and operational excellence within the firm, combining strategic product leadership with hands-on project execution to deliver technology solutions and process improvements that enhance legal service delivery, client experience, and internal efficiency. This role will work closely with attorneys, operations, IT, and external partners to define product roadmaps, lead project implementation, and ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory standards. Role and Responsibilities: Project Management • Lead crossfunctional teams in the planning and execution of legal operations and technology projects. • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans. • Manage risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle. • Facilitate communication between legal, IT, compliance, and external vendors. Product Management • Define and manage the roadmap for legal tech products, including client portals, document automation tools, and case management systems. • Collaborate with attorneys, legal operations, IT, and clients to gather requirements and translate them into product features. • Conduct user research and competitive analysis within the legal tech space. • Ensure products comply with legal industry standards, data privacy regulations, and client confidentiality requirements. • Monitor product performance and user adoption; iterate based on feedback. Desired Skills and Qualifications The successful candidate should have the following qualifications: • Project Management Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. • Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time and within scope using tools like Jira, Asana, or MS Project. • Product Management: Skilled in defining product roadmaps, gathering user requirements, and managing product backlogs. • Communication: Strong written communication skills for interacting with legal professionals, technical teams, and stakeholders. • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze user feedback, product performance, and legal processes to inform decisions. • Collaboration: Skilled at leading crossfunctional teams and facilitating alignment across groups. • Problem Solving: Ability to identify inefficiencies in legal processes and propose innovative, techenabled solutions. • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating the evolving legal tech landscape and adjusting to changing priorities. • Detail orientation: Strong attention to detail in managing legal requirements, documentation, and project deliverables. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Computer Science, or related field (JD, MBA, or PMP a plus). • 37 years of experience in product or project management, preferably in a legal, compliance, or professional services environment. • Familiarity with legal practice management systems (e.g., SalesForce, Litify, NetDocuments). • Strong understanding of legal workflows, terminology, and regulatory considerations. • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, MS Project) and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams). • Experience working in or with law firms, legal departments, or legal tech startups. • Knowledge of legal data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPPA, CCPA). • Technical background or experience working with software development teams. What DiCello Levitt Offers: Salary Range: $140,000 to 150,000 annually • Salary is dependent on experience and location.
