IT Ops Engineer – Windows Linux
£Quant Capital is urgently looking for a IT Operations Engineer to join our high profile client.
Our client is a well known global High Frequency Trading firm. They value technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record).
You will participate in providing financial and operational support to the firm.
The primary responsibility of the IT Operations Engineer is to ensure the availability of all the IT systems that are used by all colleagues throughout the trading day. This includes the end user computing, the applications that run on them and the back-end infrastructure from the office to the exchanges.
building and deploying new PCs, managing resource utilisation of IT systems, patching and maintaining Windows Server environment, patching and maintaining of Linux systems and ensuring regulatory compliance reporting is carried out.
Administer Active Directory, Office 365, and identity/access control.
Manage AWS services and infrastructure.
Perform Linux system administration.
Support & Monitoring
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues (on-site and remote).
Monitor systems using Grafana and Elastic to ensure performance and availability.
IT Ops Engineers MUST have:
Ideally prior experience working in financial services
Experience managing a Windows Server environment (ideally Server 2016)
Experiencing building and maintaining Window 10 desktops
Linux
Experience maintaining Microsoft SQL Server
