We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automated tests across web applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building robust automation frameworks, collaborating closely with development teams, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Build and enhance automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed defect reports.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define test strategy and ensure test coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and cross-browser testing.
• Ensure test reliability, stability, and maintainability.
• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and reviews in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
• 2–6+ years of experience in Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Good understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM, REST APIs).
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
• Experience with other automation tool Selenium
• Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Performance or visual regression testing experience.
• Test management tool – JIRA
